About me:

My Husband and I have been married for over 19 years and I’m 49 years of age and the proud parents of 2 children one daughter who is age 26 has already left the nest and we have another daughter who is age 19 and still at home but in college. 

My Husband and I Pastor a church in our home and we believe that caring for children is also a ministry to God.  I love children and enjoy watching a child develop in their special gifts or talents and we love making a difference in the lives of others.  I love singing, dancing, fishing, outdoor activities and performing arts which I would like to incorporate in God’s Little Lights Christian daycare.
 

Philosophy:

I believe in treating people the way I would want to be treated especially little people, the way they feel about themselves is vital and we at God’s Little Light Christian Daycare believe in helping each child develop to their full potential and love each child as though they were your own.  The way we treat our children early on will make a large impact on their teenage to adult years. 

Program learning is integrated into the daily routine, and playing is not separated from learning; playing is learning. Children will be free to select materials and activities within an environment that encourages discovery and problem solving, through the joy of play. Each child will be viewed as a unique individual and experiences will be planned to meet each individual need.

The curriculum is based on developmentally appropriate activities. Children are encouraged to participate according to their needs, strengths, and age interests. We believe in every child shinning at God’s Little Lights Christian Daycare and we make sure they feel and know they are special. 

Experience:

I am licensed by the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and certified in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid and, I have over 20 years’ experience in caring for children.

Early learning program:

We will work with your child from the time they begin the daycare assist you in making sure your child is prepared for school. We will read to your child and help he/she in learning to read words, Learning ABC’s, recognizing alphabets, colors, shapes, sizes, learning to count and recognize numbers, writing and coloring. Etc.
