About Me
I used to be a mom that dreaded
taking my kids to daycare.
I envied my provider (who
watched my children for 5
plus years) for being able
to spend the day with my
children, providing them
with guidance, loving them
and teaching them new things
daily. Two years ago I made
the decision to become a
licensed child care provider
and give that same
nourishment to others, as
well as my little ones.
Philosophy
I believe that children need a fun
and engaging environment
that incorporates lots
of learning by everyday
play. I believe that
children should be given
the opportunities to
learn healthy habits and
good manners. I will
spend quality time with
each child while
providing the best
possible care for
everyone.
I also believe that communication is
very important between a
provider and the
parent(s). I encourage
you to come early so you
do not have to rush out
or come and hang out
while we have a mini
celebration for
holiday. Please make
yourself welcome!
Experience
I am licensed with the State of
Nebraska as a Family
Child Care Home 1
provider, certified in
Pediatric CPR and First
Aid. I exceed the
required 12 hours of
annual in-service
training yearly.
Early Learning Program
I offer preschool September through
May. Each month we have a
theme that we focus our
crafts, books, color, and
fun foods around. We also
focus on a shape, number,
and 1 letter per week. We
take a "field trip" every
month.
In the month of September our theme
is apples and our color is
red. We are also working on
the number 1, letters A,B,&
C, and circles. We have
painted the color red while
using fresh apples, made
homemade apple chips,
colored and traced the
letters, read books about
Johnny Appleseed and so on.
We are also going to a local
apple orchard to pick our
own apples!
Policies
At time of interview I will provide
you with a Parent Pack that
includes a parent handbook,
sick policy, and references.
