About Me
Hi! I love spending my days playing and learning with children.
I left my professional career behind after I had my daughter in 5 different
daycares by the time she was only 2 years old! I knew there had to be a
better way to care for children than I was experiencing out there. Since
then I have been very happy loving and nurturing kids and I have never
looked back to my old life on the "fast track". In my family-like
environment I enjoy helping children learn life skills such as sharing,
manners, kindness and respect and friendship.
Philosophy
Children can sense when they are loved, and appreciated. They
need a space where they feel safe and secure, too. Learning
comes as a natural by-product of being in a secure setting,
where a child can learn and grow while having fun. I provide an
opportunity for your child to develop socially, physically,
emotionally, and intellectually, all while enjoying their day
here with their friends.
Experience
I am a 47 year old mother to 4 daughters, one still in
elementary school, and a grandmother to a 3 year old, and have
many years of childcare experience. It's what I love. I'm
licensed, and certified in CPR and First Aid. I take part in
the USDA meal program through the Heartland Family Services
Program, which ensures healthy hot and cold meals. I have many
excellent references.
Early Learning Program
Many of the children here do not go to a formal preschool. Here
we enjoy learning letters, colors, numbers, opposites, etc,. We
cover all the preschool materials in a fun, playful way.
Policies
I have a policy/guidelines printout that I give out while a
family is here for their initial visit.
Additional information:
My home is
2 houses away from the Chapel Hill Park and we love to go there. My home's
interior play area is large with lots of natural light.
