About Me:

Nana Nancy's Daycare was established in December 2008 and is owned and operated by Nancy Smith. Nancy is a grandmother willing to give loving personal attention to your child. The daycare is smoke-free and has no pets.

Philosophy:

I have a child centered environment in a home setting. A flexible but predictable routine is followed to meet the needs of the individual child. By limiting enrollment to 2 or 3, children will be given proper attention and directions in a fun safe environment.

Experience:

I have a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Bible and Psychology from Dana College in Blair. In addition I graduated from Grace College in Omaha having completed a three year General Bible course. My teaching career was in elementary school for Papillion/LaVista School District. I have pre-school experience at Maplewood Pre-School. For several years I was a foster parent for Nebraska Health and Human Services. 

Early Learning Program:

Age appropriate toys, music, and books are provided. New toys and activities are introduced as a child's ability advances. Pre-school learning projects are scheduled when an interest is shown by individual children. Independent and group play is encouraged daily. Our yard is fenced in for outdoor play on the gym set and riding toys. The park is three blocks away with sand and a picnic area. On occasion, because of the small enrollment, we can do a field trip.
