About Me
I am a Mother of four
healthy beautiful children. I have 16 years of experience in
caring for children. I have been licensed with the State of
Nebraska since 1988 and have a diploma in Child care
Management through Education Direct since February 25th
2004.
I have spent the last thirteen years taking child
development course that range from infant, Toddler,
Preschool, and school-age. I have been trained in Child CPR
and first aid, certified by the National safety council. I
serve foods that follow the guidelines of the food and
Nutrition program, funded by the United states Department of
Agriculture. (USDA)
Philosophy
Each child is to be treated with the same
respect and Dignity as I would treat any adult. I believe
each child should feel safe in their surroundings and be
given the opportunity for success to get ready for the
outside world.
Experience
I have
sixteen years of experience in caring for children. Plus I
am a Den leader for cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, for 11 years.
and was dominated for outstanding Den leader of the year,
in 1999. I have recently completed my Child Care management
on February 25th 2004 from Education Direct.
Policies
Before any child may
participate in this program the parent must complete and
return the following application, Parent handbook filled out
by the state, State of Nebraska paperwork, Permission to
administer Non-Prescription Medications, Permission to
receive emergency medical care away from Sheryl's affordable
daycare Premises. Permission to participate in program
activities, Field trips, Transport in vehicle in case we go
to the park, Permission slip to be photographed by the
Provider. I have a Digital camera and I do take pictures of
the kids so I can put them on my screen saver or my web site
with permission only.
