About Me:
Hi! My name is Nicole, children call me Nicky.
I've been married 17yrs to a very supportive man
and a proud mother of two wonderful children. We
have two cats and fish. Our home is a clean,
non-smoking environment. I am CPR &
First Aid certified. I enjoy gardening and
decorating. I like to keep active and enjoy
being outside as the seasons change.
Philosophy
My philosophy is that young children need to be able
to explore and interact with their environment. When given
this opportunity in safe, positive and nurturing places
their development will thrive. My program encourages
children, typically, 18mo and older, to do just that! Safety
of all the children is my first priority. Therefore, I have
a low number of children (6) and keep their ages compatible
to benefit everyone. Children are encouraged to select
materials from low open shelves and sensory play is
continually available. Routines are designed to be flexible,
so that we can enjoy the process of our experiences, not
just the end result. Children develop a strong sense of self
while feeling part of our child care family.
Experience
I have
over a decade of formal experience working with children.
From 1990 to 1994 I was a licensed Family child care
provider in the state of North Dakota and Grand Forks A.F.B.
I have taught preschool in both North Dakota and Nebraska
child care centers. I have been teaching physical fitness to
preschool children here in Omaha with the Stretch-n- Grow
program. I am now state and city licensed and eager to
provide quality child care in my home for your family.
Early Learning Program
Preschool curriculum is incorporated into our daily
routine through age appropriate activities. I offer story &
group times, music & movement activities and hands on
science, math and art as learning centers. The activities
support and reflect the children's current interests.

Additional Information
I provide healthy snacks, breakfast and lunch in
conjunction with the food program.
I offer a large fenced in yard with play equipment
and natural landscape to explore.
