About Me
My name is Carolyn Johnson. I have 2 children of my own,
one a schoolager and the other a toddler. I have a
fenced-in backyard with playground equipment. I also have
an outdoor beagle dog.
Philosophy
Each child is treated as if he or she is my own. I provide
a loving environment where each child can grow in academic
and life skills. I also feel it's important to partner with
parents in providing the best care possible.
Experience
I started my daycare in 2002 when I decided to stay home
with my oldest child. As well as being state licensed, I
have CPR and First Aid certifications and participate in the
USDA Food program.
Early Learning Program
From September through May, I offer a preschool program
through Mother Goose Time. Each month, we focus on
different letters, numbers, shapes, and colors, as well as a
Spanish word and sign language word of the month. In
addition, we do worksheets based on each month's curriculum.
Policies
An enrollment fee of one week's daycare is required. This
will be applied to the first week once the child begins
care.
Additional Information
During the summer months, we frequently walk to the school
playground which is 2 blocks from my house. Periodically,
we may go on a field trip to the zoo or Children's Museum
with parental consent.
