About Me
I have been married for 11 years and have two children ages
10 and 7. I have been a child care provider for almost
7 years
and I also have over 20 years of babysitting experience. I
enjoy watching and participating in sports with my family.
My
Philosophy
As a family child care provider, my goal is to provide a
safe and happy environment for each child that will
stimulate their physical, intellectual, social and emotional
growth at their own pace. I offer loving care that focuses
on each child as a unique and wonderful individual. I
believe play is a very important learning tool for
children. MINDY’S LIL’ MUNCHKINS is centered on play and
the natural curiosity and energy of young children. I
strive to provide children with a loving environment where
they can learn to socialize through play and having lots of
fun. It is my privilege to help the children learn life
skills such as manners, honesty, sharing, kindness,
friendship and respect.
My
Experience/Training/History
I have cared for the children of family and friends for over 20
years and have been licensed through the State of Nebraska
since March of 2003. I am CPR and First Aid certified and
every year I take over 12 hours of early childhood classes.
I also have an Associate’s Degree in Business.
Early
Learning Program
Children are exposed to many kinds of learning experiences
including; story and listening adventures, music and finger
play, numbers and counting, letter, shape and color
recognition, puzzles and educational games, arts and crafts,
and social development.
I currently offer a wonderful preschool program for ages 3 and up.
My Mom, “Grandma Stone”, teaches 3 mornings a week. She
loves children as much as I do and she enjoys searching the
internet and magazines for fresh ideas to keep the children
interested in learning. My own two children enjoy helping
with projects and games when not in school. They also help
me come up with new ideas to share with the children that
they may have learned in school.
