About Me
My name is Susan Jonsson. I love
and take pride in my family first, two daughters, ages 19 &
21 who are my pride and joy and also share my love for
children? I enjoy the home life, cooking, gardening,
flowers, designing, crafts, bicycling and all the fun things
to do in the great outdoors. I keep very involved with my
children’s school and sports activities. My heart has always
been with children since I was very small. I started
babysitting at a very young age and knew that i wanted to be
able to work with children and make an impact on their
lives. I am honored to have been able to touch the lives of
so many families in the past 20 years plus. It means so much
to me to be a part of each and every child that comes into
my childcare.
Philosophy
I
believe play is very important for the children and allowing
children to be children. I let them play and have fun in a
safe secure environment. I feel they grow up and are
ready to go off to school way too fast. Kid Kare
Home Daycare is centered on playtime and the natural
curiosity and energy of young children. I strive to provide
children with a warm and loving environment where they can
learn, through play and having lots of fun. We work on
social learning and child happiness. I love working with
children. It is an honor for me to be able to help the
children learn life skills such as Sharing, to be caring,
friendship, manners, honesty and respect, watching them
grow, watching their achievements and cheering them on.
These are very important values to me.
Experience
I
am CPR and First Aid certified. My childcare follows the
guidelines of the USDA food program and serves healthy
snacks and meals. Prior to starting my daycare i opened my
heart to foster children. I strive to provide the best
possible care I can. I have numerous hours of training, and
attend many workshops to gain more information and
additional knowledge to help the children grow and learn. I
belong to Midwest Childcare Association, The Child Care
Connection, Omaha-Childcare Directory
Early Learning Program
Kid Kare Home Daycare is a
structured childcare offering a daily routine including
Preschool activities, music, and fun.
Policies
Upon enrollment, one week’s tuition Deposit and a $50.00 non
refundable registration fee per child will be due. This is
to be paid prior to your child's first day. In addition,
there are several forms I must have prior to your child
starting care. KidKareHome
guidelines are available at the time of our interview for
you to take home, review and call me with any questions you
may have.
Additional Information
I offer a non-smoking environment.
My
childcare is operated out of the lower level of my home that
walks out to a big back yard with lots of children's
fun play equipment.
